What is stored
Before submission, your unfinished answers and position are saved in this browser’s local storage. When you agree and submit, we save the answers, calculated results, content versions and creation time so you can read your report again. If you use a plan, we save the career you selected, completed days, notes and reflection.
Private access and recovery
A necessary session cookie gives this browser access to its reports. Recovery codes give access on another device and should be treated like a password. We store a protected representation of the code rather than a readable copy. We don’t ask you to create a password or submit your employment history.
Optional Google sign-in
You can take the assessment without an account. If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your basic profile and email with Talent Upside. Firebase Authentication verifies your identity and issues a protected session cookie. We link saved reports to a protected representation of your verified account ID, so you can open them on another device. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive or contacts. Sign out when using a shared device. You can delete your accessible assessment data using the controls above.
Sharing is your choice
No result is public by default. Creating a public link shares a limited pattern summary and career candidates. It doesn’t share your individual answers, plan notes, recovery code or full private report. You can revoke a share link from the report.
Cookies and analytics
We use necessary browser storage to save an unfinished assessment and a session cookie to protect reports. We don’t load advertising cookies or third-party behavioral analytics in this version. You can clear the privacy notice preference below without changing access to your reports.
Payments
The complete report is free during early access. We are not accepting payments and do not collect payment details for this free version. If paid reports launch, checkout will identify the actual payment provider and link to its privacy terms before you pay. That provider may process billing, payment and transaction information. We will keep the order references and status needed to provide report access and handle refunds or support. A return from checkout alone does not prove payment.
Retention and deletion
You can delete the assessment records accessible to this browser at any time using the control above. Free assessments expire 90 days after completion. The planned paid report will include at least 90 days of access from confirmed payment, unless the purchase is refunded. After the applicable access period expires, reports can no longer be opened. Expired records are removed during maintenance; expiry does not promise immediate physical deletion. Keep an export of information you want to retain. Payment records may need to be retained separately for accounting or dispute handling. Deleting a report doesn’t delete records held by a payment provider.
Choices and limitations
Use fictional or non-sensitive examples in plan notes. Don’t upload confidential employer, client or third-party information. Talent Upside is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is a career exploration tool rather than a service for employment screening or decisions about other people.
